Testimonials

I first met Dr Lambert after a Google search of therapists in my local area. Our first meeting was to establish the scope of my needs and to see if we would be a good therapeutic “fit”. The meeting was low key and gentle, and supportive – all of which are important if, like me, you’re new to therapy.

After this first contact, we planned time together on a roughly weekly basis with times to fit round my working patterns, meeting in a pleasant garden office at Rod’s home on the outskirts of Norwich. We mapped out my family tree, so that I could refer to members by name without having to explain who was who. Rod quickly got familiar with everyone, which really helped when talking through family dynamics. From time-to-time I would be asked to think about specific questions in the time between meetings, sometimes making notes for us to discuss, sometimes reflecting privately.

Over the following few months – about six in all – we developed a really good rapport, which allowed Rod to share his expertise and wisdom in a friendly, calm and non-judgemental way. He was prepared to challenge me when necessary and make positive suggestions about how to deal with situations in daily life. Overall, the process has been helpful in getting my questions thought-through and clearer in my own mind. This clarity enables progress towards well-being… and that’s what we all seek, I think: Rod can help.

I have spend many sessions with Rod over the course of the last couple of years. I had reached a point in my middle-aged life where i had lost direction. I was struggling with both mental heath and issues of addiction. I tried some others outlets but things actually got worse.

The sessions with Rod were extremely helpful in understanding and identifying my issues. This was achieved by helping me make the changes needed and by changing the way of thinking about my lifestyle choices. Rod is very patient, gentle and non-judgemental. But he is also not afraid to speak candidly when it is needed. I have made great strides in my time with Rod and i am grateful for his skills as a therapist. I had reached a very dark place and Rod has turned this around. I now look forward to life in a much more positive way.
